Florida State finishes top 5 in Scoring Defense

Florida State’s defense was hard hitting, disciplined, and consistent all season.  In fact, it was the only defense in the country that never allowed more than 24 points in a single game.  Despite being 106th in turnovers gained, the ‘Noles finished the season 5th in Scoring Defense and 15th in Total Defense.  Here is how the Seminoles stacked up against the rest of the teams around the country:

  • 61st in 4th Down Conversion Percentage
  • 32nd in 1st Down Defense
  • 84th in Fumbles Recovered
  • 104th in Passes Intercepted
  • 19th in Passing Yards Allowed
  • 40th in Red Zone Defense
  • 36th in Rushing Defense
  • 5th in Scoring Defense
  • 16th in Passing Efficiency Defense
  • 31st in Sacks
  • 72nd in Tackles For Loss
  • 15th in Total Defense
  • 106th in Turnovers Gained
