Roberto Aguayo has announced that he will forego his final year of eligibility and declare for the 2016 NFL Draft. Aguayo, a redshirt junior, is the 2013 Lou Groza award winner and is widely considered to be one of the top kickers in the nation. He was eligible for the draft last year but chose to return to Tallahassee. In this year’s draft, Aguayo is ranked as the top kicker prospect among many scouts and analysts and is expected to be the first special teams player drafted. Aguayo is the only kicker on scholarship at Florida State at the moment, but Jimbo Fisher has secured the commitments of two highly ranked kickers: Ricky Aguayo, the younger brother of Roberto and an early enrollee, and Logan Tyler.
