VIDEO: Jameis Winston Still Has a Cannon for an Arm

Orlando Sentinel

Even after not playing baseball for two years it appears Jameis Winston can still strike you out.

Former Florida State quarterback, right fielder, and closer Jameis Winston was in Tampa for today’s spring training action between the New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays. Winston, now the quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after being selected no. 1 overall in the 2015 NFL Draft, has been making many public appearances around the Tampa Bay area. It is clear that Winston has fully embraced his role as the face of the franchise for the Bucs and he has also been reveling in the appreciation from the Tampa fans as well as reaching out to other local sports teams in an effort to show unity in the Tampa Bay Area. Winston, along with 1st round MLB Draft pick D.J. Stewart, made an appearance at the FSU-USF baseball game a few weeks ago.

In addition to throwing out the first pitch, Winston was spotted signing autographs for children, picking the brain of Reggie “Mr. October” Jackson, and of course laughing it up with Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez.
