Week 8 Viewing Schedule: FSU’s Opponents

Week 8 features perhaps FSU’s biggest game of the year as they take on #3 Clemson at home.  However, this game isn’t until 8pm and there is a lot of good football on this week.  Check it out:

**All listed times are in Eastern Standard Time

**All spreads are courtesy of the Westgate Superbook

Ole Miss:

  • Who: #15 Auburn
  • Where: Oxford, Miss.
  • When: Saturday @ 7:15 pm
  • Broadcast: SECN
  • Odds: Auburn -4.5

Ole Miss looks to get back on track after two straight losses two Arkansas and LSU.  It will be interesting to see if Ole Miss can get a big win at home to turn their season around.  Unfortunately for Ole Miss, Auburn’s run game should prove too strong for the Landshark Defense.

Charleston Southern:

  • Who: Bucknell
  • Where: Charleston, SC
  • When: Saturday @ 11:45 am
  • Broadcast: Big South Network
  • Odds: Charleston Southern -26.5

Not much to see here, as Charleston Southern will likely route Bucknell at home.

#5 Louisville:

  • Who: Virginia
  • Where: Charlottesville, VA
  • When: Saturday @ Noon
  • Broadcast: ABC
  • Odds: Louisville -33.5

Louisville seems to get a huge spread every week and somehow manage to cover it.  I don’t see UVA  making this competitive but it will be interesting to see if Louisville can continue their dominant performances and work their way into the College Football Playoff.

South Florida:

  • Who: #22 Navy
  • Where: Tampa, FL
  • When: Friday @ 7 pm
  • Broadcast: ESPN2
  • Odds: USF -6

USF is coming off of a tough loss at Temple.  Even though they are favored, this would be a huge win for the Bulls over a ranked Navy team.  They look to hand Navy their first conference loss and get their impressive season back on track.

#21 North Carolina:

  • Bye week.

Miami (FL):

  • Who: Notre Dame
  • Where: South Bend, IN
  • When: Saturday @ 3:30 pm
  • Broadcast: NBC
  • Odds: Miami -1.5

Miami takes on Notre Dame in “the battle of the underachievers.” But seriously, it will be very interesting to see if Miami can get their season in order against a putrid Notre Dame team.

Wake Forest:

  • Who: Army
  • Where: Winston Salem, NC
  • When: Saturday @ 3:30
  • Broadcast: ACCN
  • Odds: Wake Forest -7

Wake Forest looks to become bowl eligible and improve their record to 6-2.  They are favored at home and their defense should get enough stops to come out victorious on Saturday.

#3 Clemson:

  • Who: Florida State
  • Where: Tallahassee, FL
  • When: Saturday @ 8:00 pm
  • Broadcast: ABC
  • Odds: Clemson -4

Check out our preview, here.

North Carolina State:

  • Who: Boston College
  • Where: Raleigh, NC
  • When: Saturday @ 3:30 pm
  • Broadcast: ACCN
  • Odds: NC State -15

NC State should get back on track against one of the worst teams in the ACC on Saturday.  NC State got blasted by Louisville last week, after losing @ Clemson the week before.

 Boston College:

  • Who: NC State
  • Where: Raleigh, NC
  • When: Saturday @ 3:30 pm
  • Broadcast: ACCN
  • Odds: NC State -15

Syracuse:

  • Bye week.

#14 Florida:

  • Who: Georgia
  • Where: Jacksonville, FL
  • When: Saturday @ 3:30 pm
  • Broadcast: CBS
  • Odds: Florida -7.5

Florida looks to continue its dominance over Georgia at the “World Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.”  The Gators hope to give Kirby Smart a rude welcoming into this series.
