VIDEO: Florida State Basketball crushes Clemson

Florida State ran over the Clemson Tigers en route to a 109-61 victory. Dwayne Bacon led the Seminoles, matching his career-high of 29 points while knocking down six three pointers. He was feeling it, Bacon hit a series of ridiculous shot, including a deep three pointer with his heels on the Seminole head logo.

Xavier Rathan-Mayes also had a great game, he finished with six points, nine assists and two steals. XRM made great passes and played within the offense all night, he’s shown massive improvement as a point guard from his sophomore to junior season. Braian Angola-Rodas poured in 12 points off the bench on a perfect 4-4 shooting (3-3 from deep), he also grabbed three rebounds and dished out three assists. This was probably Angola-Rodas’s best game as a Nole so far.

In total, the team finished 41-62 (66.1%) from the field, 17-30 (56.7%) from three point range, and 10-12 (83.3%) from the free throw line. FSU is 24-27 from the line over the last two games, it looks like Leonard Hamilton finally locked them in the gym for 12 hours just to straight freebies.

This is Florida State’s first 100 point game against an ACC opponent since 1999, their 17 made three pointers also broke a team record for three pointers made in an ACC game. The Seminoles improve to 20-4 (8-3). They are tied with Virginia for second in the ACC. FSU’s next game will be against the North Carolina State Wolfpack on February 8 at 7 p.m. inside the Donald L. Tucker Center.
