VIDEO: Noles overwhelm NC State, win third straight

Another show of stifling defense led Florida State to a 95-71 victory over the North Carolina State Wolfpack. Jonathan Isaac finished with 21 points, seven rebounds, one steal and one block. Dwayne Bacon poured in 19 points and nine rebounds. The Seminoles held projected NBA lottery pick, Dennis Smith Jr., to a mere eight points and six assists. Smith is averaging 18.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 7 assists this season.

Xavier Rathan-Mayes played great defense on Smith all night, while having a nice game of his own. XRM finished with eight points, four assists and two steals. Terance Mann had one of his best all-around games of the season as he poured in eight points, ten rebounds and five assists. All in all, it was a good night for the entire team. All 13 guys played and 11 scored, nine Noles finished with double-figures in minutes while two finished with nine minutes. This team once again showed off their depth, running NC State ragged.

This was the third straight victory for FSU after they crushed Miami on the road and then demolished Clemson by 48 points at home. The Seminoles improved to 21-4 (9-3), they are ranked second in the ACC behind North Carolina. Next, Florida State will travel to South Bend, Indiana to take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Saturday, Feb 11 at 6 p.m. eastern time. The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
