MRI confirms Dalvin Cook has torn his ACL

The Minnesota Vikings just got back devastating news on rookie running back Dalvin Cook. He has torn his ACL in his left knee. The former Florida State star suffered the non-contact knee injury while carrying the ball against the Detroit Lions yesterday. Cook was able to exit the game under his own power, though he walked to the locker room gingerly.

The rookie running back was ranked third in the NFL with 354 rushing yards and two scores over Minnesota’s first four games. Cook will need to undergo surgery and an extensive rehab with the goal to return for the 2018 season.
