Fans start GoFundMe to buyout Charles Kelly’s contract

Florida State football fans have had it after a 1-3 start to the 2017 season and some are even starting to call for staff changes. The Seminoles defense was supposed to be the backbone of this team but they’ve fumbled away leads late in the fourth quarter during each of the losses this team has experienced in Tallahassee.

FSU shut out Miami in the first half of Saturday’s defeat but then allowed 24 points in the final two quarters, including two long touchdown drives in the final frame that saw the Hurricanes retake the lead twice. It was a questionable outing for Charles Kelly, as his defense showed absolutely zero ability to adjust in the second half. The third-year defensive coordinator used multiple defensive back blitzes and played his unit up at the line of scrimmage as Miami drove down the field. The final straw was on the Hurricanes last offensive play of the game.

The final straw was on the Hurricanes last offensive play of the game. The `Noles put nine guys at the line of scrimmage with Miami on the edge of the red zone. This allowed the `Canes to target Tarvarus McFadden in man coverage, who they had picked on all game, for the game-winning score.

Fans have now started a GoFundMe to buyout Charles Kelly’s ridiculous contract. Kelly’s current deal runs through 2021 and the fans want to raise the $4 million needed for his buy out.
