Auden Tate’s big catch at Bengals Rookie Mini-Camp

The NFL Draft was just a few weeks ago and many former Florida State Seminoles are trying to assert themselves at the professional level. One of those former `Noles, wide receiver Auden Tate, has a lot to prove after slipping into the Seventh-Round on draft weekend.

Tate finally was picked up by the Cincinnati Bengals with one of the last picks on the draft. Now, he’s got to prove he belongs in the NFL. The major knock on Tate has been on his agility and speed which could cause him so trouble when trying to separate from defensive backs at the next level.

However, you can’t discount Tate’s frame and length. Those physical attributes are what makes him so deadly as a receiver. Case and point, this play from Bengals Rookie Mini-Camp.

Tate actually outran the defensive back while also using his long arms to reel in a deep ball for a big gain. These are the types of plays he’ll have to make if he’s going to stick around in the NFL.
