Commitment Impact: What 4-star LB Stephen Dix Jr. brings to #Tribe20

The first Junior Day of the year continues to be fruitful for FSU. Just yesterday they got their stud Quarterback in Jeff Sims – today they get a blue-chip linebacker in Stephen Dix Jr.

Dix Jr. much like Sims grew up an FSU fan which played a huge part in his decision. Stephen looks great on the hoof standing at a solid 6’1 215. He’s a “first off the bus” type of player but make no mistake this guy can play. His film shows a sideline to sideline outside ‘backer who is patient in his run fills and has a quick trigger to the ball carrier.

His coaches also showcased his versatility by lining him up at rush end and even defensive tackle to great success. He is a sure tackler and regularly displays excellent technique by squaring up his opponent and getting them to the ground. His best fit is at outside linebacker while rushing the passer on third down. This is a great pick up for Willie Taggart and Company at the position. With Dix Jr. and longtime FSU commit Keyshawn Greene in the fold next year’s linebacker class is off to a fantastic start.
