FSU moves into No. 1 class with commitment of Renardo Green

Willie Taggart and his new staff are changing the game on the recruiting trail. They had an epic close to the 2018 recruiting cycle and they haven’t taken their foot off of the gas.

Florida State landed five commitments last week, including four pledges to Tribe19 and one to the class of 2020. Now, they’re once again adding to the talent in their class.

Three-star cornerback Renardo Green received an offer from FSU on Monday evening and instantly decided to pull the trigger. The Apopka native plays at Wekiva High School and projects to be a good fit in Harlon Barnett’s system.

Green is a lock-down man-to-man defensive back who is a physical tackler. He’s a good athlete who still needs some development. Luckily, DB’s are Barnett’s specialty.

The three-star prospect is rated as the No. 382 prospect in the country and the No. 35 CB by the 247 Sports composite rankings. It also gives Florida State ten commitments in the class of 2019. More importantly, Willie Taggart and the Seminoles now have the top class in the country.

And the momentum isn’t slowing down. Top talent is busting at the seams to come to Tallahassee. Stay tuned.
