Hear The Spear: Terrell Buckley interview, offseason nuggets, NFL

On the latest episode of Hear The Spear, Dustin and Logan are joined by NoleGameday’s lead graphic designer, Fisher Adkins. The trio share their thoughts on the reports of James Blackman, George Campbell, and Naseir Upshur entering the Transfer Portal.

They continue into some quarterback nuggets, including Deondre Francois’ decision to return for his senior season and Jordan Travis’ transfer to FSU from Louisville. Dustin, Logan, and Fisher each have some interesting tidbits on the potential quarterback battle that will begin during the spring, particularly if Blackman stays in Tallahassee.

There’s also some news on the coaching staff. Mark Snyder is has replaced Alonzo Hampton as special teams coach and Odell Haggins has taken over the entirety of the defensive line. This move is expected to be temporary.

The main part of this episode of Hear The Spear focuses on an interview with Florida State legend Terrell Buckley. Buckley, who was recently nominated to the CFB Hall Of Fame, discusses his current career as a coach while reminiscing about his playing days in garnet and gold. He also breaks down two of the famous plays in Seminole football history.

Finally, the guys end the podcast by discussing some NFL and basketball news. Jameis Winston has a new coach in Tampa Bay and Derwin James is getting close to reeling in the defensive rookie of the year. As for Florida State basketball, Dustin breaks down the slow start in ACC play and how the ‘Noles can improve going forward (HINT: Make three-point shots).
