Jalen Ramsey sends a message to recruits from the Pro Bowl

The 49th annual Pro Bowl was a game to remember, especially for some former Florida State stars. Jalen Ramsey of the Jacksonville Jaguars and rookie sensation Derwin James of the Los Angeles Chargers were the only two former Seminoles voted to play in the game but that didn’t stop either of them from making some noise on the field.

James tied for second on the AFC team with three tackles, a tackle for loss, and a sack. Ramsey recorded two tackles and pass deflection before getting in on some fun late in the game.

The All-Pro cornerback lined out wide at receiver to try and catch a pass. He did that a more. With 19 seconds remaining in the contest, Ramsey caught a six-yard touchdown pass from Deshaun Watson to make the score 26-7. On the ensuing extra point attempt, James got a turn at wide receiver but he wasn’t able to connect with Deshaun Watson for the two points.

All in all, it was a fun Sunday where some elite talent was on display, though they did play a bit more lazily than fans wanted.

Regardless, Ramsey and James had a clear message for high school recruits following the game.

“If you a recruit and you ain’t going to Florida State,” Ramsey said. “What are you doing?”
