Mickey Andrews already offering advice to young players

Florida State fans were giddy with excitement when longtime Seminole defensive coordinator Mickey Andrews was brought back to the program by Willie Taggart as a special assistant to the head coach. Though his role wasn’t publicly defined, many off-field aids and assistants help with practices, scouting, and development.

When you’ve been coaching since 1965, you probably have at least a few words of wisdom worth listening to. It seems like Andrews is already offering advice to some of the `Noles.

The 76-year-old Alabama native was spotted at Wednesday’s practice observing a defensive line drill. After the drill, he stepped to the side with redshirt sophomore Janarius Robinson while appearing to be offering him some words of encouragement, or not, considering coach Andrews’ reputation.
