Steven Wells pushes FSU past No. 4 NC State
- Updated: May 18, 2018
Senior outfield Steven Wells has been the calming force for this Seminoles squad. All season, he’s been the one consistently making plays in the clutch. Wells came up big again last night against No. 4 North Carolina State.
Florida State was tied 3-3 with the Wolfpack in the bottom of the 10th. With two outs, NC State hit a ball just shy of the foul line. Wells came sprinting across from center-field and made an acrobatic, diving catch to put up FSU up to bat. The senior then opened up the 11th at bat for the `Noles.
The pitcher threw a fastball down the middle and Wells absolutely drilled it to give FSU the win. It was the second walk-off home run for Wells in three weeks.
Steven Wells is an absolute monster.
