VIDEO: Bobby Bowden speaks with FSU Football team

Legendary Florida State head coach Bobby Bowden visited the Seminoles practice today for the first time since his retirement in 2009. Bowden stayed away from the program during Jimbo Fisher’s tenure but Willie Taggart is embracing the legendary figures that made FSU what it is today.

Taggart grew up idolizing the dominant teams that Bowden and his staff fielded in Tallahassee. Now, as he looks to do that himself, Taggart isn’t afraid to pick the mind of a man who coached at Florida State for 33 years. That’s a great characteristic to have if you’re looking to be successful and it’s one that Fisher ultimately lacked.

Bowden, the winner of two national championships and 12 ACC Championships, got a chance to speak with the `Noles following the practice. It’s great to see him being involved with the program again, considering how much he did to establish FSU. Garnet isn’t gold without Bobby.
