VIDEO: FSU Center Commit Ikey Obiagu records 11 blocks in one game

Florida State men’s basketball is bringing in another successful recruiting class. The Noles have signed four players, and have a commitment from a fifth, four star center Ikechukwu ‘Ikey’ Obiagu.

Obiagu is the highest ranked center commit for FSU since 2007, when the Seminoles landed five star center Solomon Alabi. ESPN ranks him as the #56 player in the nation and the #9 center. Rivals see’s him as the #68 player in the nation and the #10 center. He’s highly regarded amongst the major recruiting networks.

Max Preps shows that Obiagu is averaging 8.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and an astounding seven blocks per game for Greenforest Mccalep Christian Academy. He’s also only recording 1.2 fouls per game, which is very impressive, considering his block numbers.

Recently, Obiagu finished a game with 11 blocks. He really looks like a man amongst boys out there, and his impact on the defensive side of the floor should translate to the college level quickly.
