VIDEO: Jimbo Fisher’s uncomfortable dance after A&M spring game

It’s all smiles in Tallahassee after an electric spring game last Saturday under Willie Taggart. Over 60K fans made their way into Doak Campbell Stadium for throwback weekend, a new spring game record for FSU. The gulf coast offense and retooling defense have firmly implanted excitement again in this program, headlined by four commitments at the spring game, plus some Vanilla Ice.

The same can’t really be said for the former coach and Texas A&M. Fisher proclaimed in December that the Aggies would set the NCAA record for the most attended spring game. This past Saturday, they drew just over 48K fans to Kyle Field’s 102,733 capacity.

The product wasn’t dazzling either. Fisher is once again implementing a pro-style offense and it drew mixed reviews. “Aggie fans, you now have a fullback in your offense,” may have been the most exciting thing announcers said all day. Texas A&M has run a spread air-raid system under Kevin Sumlin for the last few years, you have to wonder if Fisher is pushing a square peg into a round hole.

The Aggie cult is also trying to introduce Fisher to their traditions. He’s already met Reveille, an important mascot at Texas A&M. Fisher had a creepy first experience with the “saw’em’off” dance at a basketball game in December. It didn’t get much better on his second attempt after the Aggies spring game on Saturday. Poor Ethan. Check it out below.
