There was a lot of excitement this past Saturday at the spring game as Willie Taggart officially debuted on the football field. Sure, it wasn’t a ‘real’ game, but it was nice to get a taste of football again. The contest also gave Florida State fans their first chance to see the gulf coast action in action. And they certainly weren’t disappointed.

The two sides combined for 674 yards of offense. James Blackman and Bailey Hockman both made some plays through the air. But the most exciting moment of the entire day came on a 91-yard burst by Khalan Laborn.

The redshirt freshman running back took a handoff up the middle, broke out of two arm tackles around his lower body, and starting heading towards the end zone. A defender began to close in on Laborn at around the 30-yard line but Tamorrion Terry came from behind the play and made a key block to spring his teammate to the end zone.

It was the definition of an effort play. Terry was blocking a defensive back off the snap and then sprinted behind Laborn once he got loose. The 6-foot-5 wide reciever made the block and then met Laborn in the end zone to celebrate. What a play.

Watch the moment unfold below.
