2021 defensive end commits to FSU

Florida State is hosting a massive junior day this weekend and so far it’s been productive. The Seminoles have made multiple new 2021 offers and now have landed their first commitment of the day.

2021 defensive end Joshua Farmer has committed to FSU.

Farmer is a local product out of Gadsden High School in Havana who’s just begun to garner interest from major programs. It’s big that the ‘Noles got on him early to land his commitment, he’ll be a rising prospect throughout his senior season. Farmer was recently offered by Texas A&M just a little over a week ago.

The 6-foot-3, 250-pound prospect spent time at defensive end and linebacker during his junior season. He’s extremely solid against the run, showing the ability to shed blockers and bring down ballcarriers. Farmer is also a good tackler who exhibits good form. He needs to continue adding weight and strength to his frame, which would take his game to the next level. Farmer is a decent pass-rusher but he needs to add another move or two to his repertoire.

The Florida native isn’t currently ranked by 247Sports. He becomes the third commitment of #Tribe21, joining three-star running back Keyshawn Spencer and three-star defensive Dequaveon Fuller.
