Amir Rasul names top transfer destinations
- Updated: May 21, 2019
Former Florida State running back Amir Rasul entered the Transfer Portal in January before officially leaving the team on February 19. It’s taken him a while to find his next destination but the Miami native has named his final four schools that he’s considering for transfer. FAU, Mississippi State, Baylor, and FIU.
Per @247Sports former 4 star FSU RB @Speedy_ARII (Amir Rasul) who entered the transfer portal said that FAU is in his top four along with Mississippi State, Baylor, and FIU. Rasul graduated from Coral Gables high school in 2016.

Former ‘Nole Deondre Francois, who was dismissed from the team earlier this offseason, announced his decision to walk-on at Florida Atlantic yesterday. He’ll reportedly have two years of eligibility remaining. Now, Rasul could potentially join him in Boca Raton. The Owls’ top returning back recorded just 94 yards on the ground a season ago which would give Rasul a good opportunity to break into the rotation.
The 5-foot-11, 205-pound running back spent most of his time in Tallahassee in a reserve role. He rushed 49 times for 244 yards (5.0 YPC) with one rushing touchdown in 19 career games. Rasul also caught five passes for 26 yards. He had a career-high 61 yards on the ground on nine attempts in a 77-6 win over Delaware State in 2017 while scoring the first touchdown of his career against Northern Illinois in 2018.
Rasul originally signed with FSU during the 2016 recruiting cycle. He was ranked as the No. 221 overall prospect, the No. 8 running back prospect, and the No. 32 prospect in the state of Florida which earned him a four-star distinction.
