Bracket Breakdown: Where could the ‘Noles go dancing?

With just a few weeks remaining in the regular season, it’s that time of the year to break down where Florida State could potentially be dancing in March.

Sitting at 21-4 with just six games left in the regular season, the picture is starting to become more clear.

As of Monday evening, Joe Lunardi of ESPN has Florida State as a 3 seed facing Little Rock in Tampa. Should the Noles win that game, they would take on the winner of Arizona versus Cincinnati game in the round of 32. This projection did come before Florida State’s 80-77 win over Syracuse this weekend.

In a more recent projection, Jerry Palm of CBS has the Tribe slotted as a 2 seed in Tampa taking on Colgate in the opening round before facing the winner of Southern Cal and Rhode Island.

BracketMatrix, which aggregates 90+ brackets has the ‘Noles as the final 2 seed with an average ranking of 2.67.

One thing is clear, if the Tribe can finish the season strong, they will be a 4 seed at the worst locking in Tampa as their opening weekend destination.

Florida State will host Pitt Tuesday night before traveling to Raleigh for a road game at NC State Saturday afternoon. A perfect week would be a huge boost in terms of their eventual seeding come March.
