Breaking News: Randy Clements to FSU

After the shocking news of Greg Frey’s firing just about an hour ago, we have been informed by a source that Randy Clements is officially being hired as the next offensive line coach at Florida State. His success recruiting at both Baylor and Houston have been phenomenal in the past. The hiring should pay instant dividends among the offensive line and recruiting trail. Clements has multiple connections to Texas and midwest prospects.

This is a huge stepping stone for Florida State Football. In 2015, Baylor’s rushing attack had 326.7 rushing yards per game and their offensive line ranked 1st in the Big 12 with an average of 1.15 sacks allowed per game. Clements also had great success at Houston in 2018, ranking 20th in the nation on the ground with an average of 227.7 rushing yards per game. Houston’s offense ranked fourth nationally and sixth in total offensive yards per game.

With the connection that offensive coordinator Kendal Briles and Clements have had in past seasons, there could be quite the offensive show in Tallahassee during 2019.

UPDATE: Randy Clements is on campus at Florida State, first reported by Zach Blostein of Noles247.
