The tight end position has been lacking in the last couple of classes and FSU just got a solid prospect to add to the room. Carter Boatright out of Colquitt, GA is a sleeper who has emerged during the camp circuit this summer.

“It means the world to me,” Boatwright said on his pledge to the Seminoles. “Considering all of the work I’ve put it and it is just a really good feeling. I love FSU and have been watching them since I was a child. It’s an hour away from home and my family will be able to come and watch and the coaches and school and players are really good to be around.

The tight end position has been lacking in the last couple of classes and FSU just got a solid prospect to add to the room. He has a solid frame at 6’5 225 and should add a solid playmaker and blocker down the road for FSU. Boatwright is expected to be in attendance for Florida State’s Saturday Night Live event later in July.

“I will be there the 27th and I am coming to FSU to be a great team player and being the best person I can be,” Boatwright said.

The South Georgia native is currently ranked as No. 1244 overall prospect, the No. 50 TE, and the No. 120 player in the state of Georgia which has earned Boatwright a three-star rating. He becomes the ‘Noles 14th verbal commitment in the 2020 class, which ranks No. 13 nationally according to 247Sports.
