Commitment Impact: Derek Bermudez is a ‘Nole!

In what has been a fantastic week for FSU recruiting wise, the hits just keep coming. Defensive back Derek Bermudez has pulled the trigger and joined #Tribe20. The 6’2 prototype corner who brings physicality, length, and speed at the position.

FSU has been recruiting taller corners lately to combat the wide receivers they have to deal with week in and week out in the ACC and have done a good job of doing so. There are only a few teams that have recruited defensive backs as FSU has recently and they are all in the same mold.

With the commitment of Burmudez, that may only leave one spot for this class at the position depending on attrition. Look out for Kendall Dennis to grab that final spot.

All things told this is a great commitment for FSU from a prospect who was well regarded in the state and by Georgia, among others. The train keeps rolling and FSU has plenty of momentum for #Tribe20 heading into the summer.

Also, I have to give props to James Coleman for breaking this news. Excellent get for the staff.
