Derwin James throws out first-pitch at Padres game

Despite sliding further than many expected on draft night, former Florida State safety Derwin James has found a stable home in Los Angeles. He’s already getting familiar with his teammates and the city. James had an impressive performance during the Chargers Rookie Mini-Camp. That has continued to what he’s doing off the field.

The Haines City native and the rest of the Chargers rookie class attended the Los Angeles Angels game last night. James was set to throw out the first pitch. After a couple of practice throws, he wound up and let this one loose.

Yeah, it bounced.
