As media outlets everywhere release their preseason top 25 lists for the 2019 college football season, Florida State has been noticeably absent on nearly all of them.

One new projection doesn’t agree while placing FSU at 21st in their most recent rankings.

ESPN updated their Football Power Index earlier this week and the numbers are good news for Seminole fans looking for some hope heading into the season.

Not only does their FPI have the ‘Noles squarely in their top 25, but only two opponents are also currently projected to finish ahead of them. It comes as no surprise that the defending national champions Clemson Tigers are ranked first in their projections while Florida comes in at eighth.

Based on ESPN’s formula, Florida State is more likely than not to win all but two games on their schedule while giving an overall projected record of 8-4 on the season. The number would beat the over/under win total set by Vegas which currently sits at 7.5 wins for Florida State.
