Five-star OT lists FSU in final-10

Florida State has positioned itself for two of the top offensive tackles in the 2021 class. After landing in the final-five for four-star offensive tackle Micah Morris on Tuesday, the Seminoles got more good news on Wednesday with five-star offensive tackle Amarius Mims naming FSU in his top-10. Mims has now cut Texas A&M and South Carolina from the top-12 he released back in February.

This is just more credit that should be thrown towards offensive line coach Alex Atkins. He’s done a great job connecting with both of these guys and their relationship with him is a big factor for why Florida State is still competing for their signatures. Morris personally mentioned Atkins as a reason why the ‘Noles made his final-five. Since the hire of Mike Norvell, the Seminoles have turned up the heat on Mims and it’s paying off. It feels like if they stay on this path, there’s a good chance the Georgia native will give FSU an official visit.

A lot of the top schools in the country are among the suitors for Mims, his final-10 includes blank outside of the ‘Noles. The 6-foot-7, 315-pound is currently ranked as the No. 8 overall prospect in the country, the No. 2 OT, and the No. 1 player in the state of Georgia in the 2021 class, earning him a five-star distinction according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Unfortunately, his Hudl hasn’t been updated recently, so the film below is from his sophomore season.
