Florida State Basketball is Once Again Ranked

Coach Hamilton and company are back where they belong in the Associated Press Top 25, now ranked 17th.

After a weekend coming off of an Emerald Coast Classic Championship with wins over Tennessee and Purdue, it was only a matter of time before they were back in the Top 25.

On other ranking websites, KenPom was FSU 15th, with the 53rd-best offense, and the 3rd-best defense (behind only Virginia and Ohio State, no arguments there). They have also played the 96th hardest schedule up to this point, really being weighed down by the Chicago State game.

RPI, which was the old formula used to decide tournament seeding, has Florida State 11th.

The new formula for tournament seeding, the NET rating, won’t be released until much later in the season.

Up next for Florida State, a road trip to Bloomington, Indiana to take on the Hoosiers of Indiana, who currently sit 25th in KenPom. This is followed by a home game against Clemson.
