Former Five-Star FSU receiver finds a new home

Former Florida State wide receiver George Campbell has found a new home. The one-time five-star recruit will play in Morgantown, West Virginia this coming season for the Mountaineers.

Campbell announced the decision Tuesday evening on his personal Instagram account.

Campbell had originally planned to transfer to Penn State before that option fell through last week.

Talent was never an issue but remaining healthy was during his time in Tallahassee. Despite his promise coming out of high school, Campbell’s career at FSU was marred by injury.

The former Seminole appeared in just six games in four years at Florida State. West Virginia loses their top two receivers, who combined for 1,903 receiving yards and 28 touchdown catches in 2018, so there is ample opportunity for Campbell to make an impact if he can stay healthy.
