Four-star defensive back decommits from FSU

In the immediate aftermath of head coach Willie Taggart’s firing, one of the main questions focused on if Florida State could keep #Tribe20 together. Multiple commits reacted to the news on Sunday and some even publicly began to question their commitments.

Well, we have our first official decommitment since Taggart was let go. Four-star cornerback Isaiah Dunson has reopened his recruitment, according to his Twitter.

Dunson, a Georgia native, originally committed to the ‘Noles over a year ago on Aug. 23, 2018. Rated as the No. 316 overall player, the No. 25 CB, and the No. 36 player in the state of GA, he was one of the longest-tenured members of the recruiting class. It’s certainly a big blow as FSU has now lost three commits in the defensive backfield since Oct. 15 (Jalen Harrell, Derek Bermudez, Dunson)

Florida State still has 18 players verbally committed in the class of 2020 which ranks them inside the top-20 of the recruiting rankings. It’s imperative for the assistant coaches to do whatever they can to keep this class as intact as possible.
