FSU Announces New Student Section for Basketball Games

The Nole Zone has returned to the Civic Center.

With last season having a record amount of student section sell-outs, FSU has announced a new system for home basketball games. Waves of students will now be ushered into certain spots on a first-come, first-serve basis, compared to previous years where students could sit wherever they pleased.

Wave 1 is standing room only next to the Seminole Sound and has a 100% chance of receiving giveaways.

Wave 2 is the lower half of the sections behind the basket and is “most likely” to receive giveaways.

Wave 3 is the upper half of the sections behind the basket and has about a 50% chance to receive giveaways.

Wave 4 is the remainder of the student section and has a 10-15% chance to receive giveaways.

While this is not the change students wanted, as many fans want to see them in the sections around the court, they won’t turn down the opportunity of receiving giveaways. Florida State has posted a 49-3 record their last three seasons at home, and another great home slate is scheduled for the upcoming season including North Carolina, Louisville, Syracuse, and defending champion Virginia.
