FSU Hoops Hosting Two Top 2021 Prospects

With a sold-out crowd for Notre Dame on deck, Leonard Hamilton and company have two big recruits coming into Tallahassee this weekend for the matchup.

Florida State will be hosting 5-star forward Moussa Cisse and 4-star guard Bryce McGowens, two major 2021 targets for the Seminoles.

Cisse, a native of Memphis, Tennessee, is a 6-foot-9, 200-pound PF that is known as an athletic and long shot-blocking, rebounding monster, meaning he’d be perfect in this current system. With the success the ‘Noles have had this season with Malik Osborne at center, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Cisse at the 5 if he chose to come to Florida State. He is currently the number 9 player in the 2021 class, according to 24/7. This is Cisse’s first visit to FSU. His crystal ball is currently with Memphis, which makes sense given that’s his home.

McGowens, the brother of Pittsburgh guard Trey McGowens, is a 6-foot-5 guard from Piedmont, South Carolina. Currently, McGowens is a top-50 player nationally on most recruiting sites for the 2021 class. He has a very similar build to current Seminole Devin Vassell, wiry and long with a good shooting form. There isn’t too much available film on him, but he seems to be confident shooting from anywhere on the floor, something Florida State always needs. He has visited FSU before, and has a great relationship with assistant coach Steve Smith, going back to Smith’s time at Clemson. McGowens’ crystal ball is with Clemson, but that stems back from his relationship with Smith, and there are only two predictions for his crystal ball.

This is a big weekend for the current and the future of the ‘Noles, so the staff needs to be on their A-game all weekend.
