FSU learns its bowl destination

Sunday has been exciting for Florida State fans. Mike Norvell was officially introduced earlier today and now we’ve learned the Seminoles’ bowl game. According to a source, FSU will match up with Arizona State in the Sun Bowl on Dec. 31 in El Paso, Texas.

This should be a heck of a matchup. Norvell was the offensive coordinator with the Sun Devils earlier in his career and currently, Herm Edwards is the head coach in Tempe. ASU is 7-5 in 2019 with wins over Michigan State, Cal, and Oregon.

Arizona State is led on offense by true freshman Jayden Daniels, a one-time Florida State target, who has recorded 17 touchdown passes to only two interceptions this season. They also have a 1K yard running back (Eno Benjamin) and receiver (Brandon Aiyuk).

Defensively, the Sun Devils have struggled to create turnovers this season. They’ve forced 17 fumbles and recovered ZERO of them. ASU also only has nine interceptions in 2019.

It remains to be seen who will remain on Florida State’s coach staff for the bowl game. There are also some Seminoles who are expected to sit out due to professional aspirations. Make sure to stay up to date with all of FSU’s latest bowl news on NoleGameday.com
