FSU plagued by injuries in 2019

Florida State has been hit hard by the injury bug in 2019 and it’s interesting to ponder how the Seminoles season would’ve played out if five starters weren’t out for the season. To add to the misery, star safety Hamsah Nasirildeen looked to be seriously injured against Florida and was carted off the field with an air cast on his leg.
Offensive lineman Darius Washington, who started a few games as a true freshman, is also out for the year after suffering an injury against Alabama State, he’ll redshirt. Jauan Williams’ status is in question after missing the game against UF. It also doesn’t help that DB Travis Jay and RB Anthony Grant have been unavailable for most of 2019. Grant is currently not with the team.
#FSU starters lost to (presumably) season-ending injuries in 2019: Joshua Kaindoh, Jaiden Lars-Woodbey, Keyshawn Helton, Ontaria Wilson, Marvin Wilson and Hamsah Nasirildeen. Kaindoh, Lars-Woodbey, Helton and Nasirildeen had to be carted off.

Overall, that adds up to five defensive players unavailable for the season and four offensive players. Joshua Kaindoh, Jaiden Lars-Woodbey, Marvin Wilson, and Hamsah Nasirildeen were all among top players on the Seminoles’ defense. Wilson still leads the team with five sacks despite being injured against Miami and Nasirildeen is tops on the roster in total tackles for the second year in a row with 96.
Keyshawn Helton and Ontaria Wilson were both beginning to develop into consistent threats for the ‘Noles. Helton played in five games before being injured against Clemson, finishing with 17 catches for 239 yards and three scores. Wilson, a high school teammate of Tamorrion Terry, had 20 catches for 227 yards and a score. He was knocked out for the season against Wake Forest.
Frankly, injuries have been brutal this season for Florida State. The Seminoles have had zero luck in 2019 and all you can do is hope that changes moving forward.
