FSU running back suspended, won’t play against UF

Florida State is heading into a tough game in Gainesville against No. 11 Florida later tonight. The Seminoles need all the help they can get it, however, according to Tim Linafelt of Seminoles.com, backup running back Khalan Laborn won’t be available. The former five-star prospect has been suspended for a violation of team rules.

With Laborn sidelined, expect the majority of the rushing load to fall on Akers with some potential contributions from Jordan Travis.

Laborn made his first career start for FSU two weeks ago against Alabama State due to an injury to Cam Akers. He finished the win against the Hornets with 12 carries for 55 yards and two touchdowns. On the season, the Virginia native has compiled 297 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 63 carries. He also has caught 10 passes for 66 yards.
