Koepka leads the field at Augusta

Stop me if you’ve heard this lately. Brooks Koepka is leading the field at a major. The 28 year old from West Palm Beach has racked up five wins in his early career on the PGA Tour with three of them being major championships.

Koepka has won the past two US Opens as well as last years PGA Championship. The former Seminole great is now looking to add a Masters title to his impressive pool of wins.

Koepka got off to a solid start shooting a 35 on the front nine making the turn at -1. He would catch fire on the back nine with five birdies on the first six holes. Koepka would end his round with three straight pars carding an impressive first round 66.

At -6, Koepka enters Friday tied with fellow American Bryson DeChambeau on top of what is a loaded leader board.

Koepka will tee off at 11:04 am Friday morning and will again be paired with Jordan Speith (+3) and Paul Casey (+9). Another solid showing will have Koepka in prime position heading into the weekend at Augusta.
