Malik Beasley throws down thunderous dunk

Former Florida State men’s basketball star Malik Beasley is finally gaining more consistent playing time with the Denver Nuggets during his third year in the league and he’s proved to be one of the surprises in the NBA. During his first two seasons, Beasley averaged 3.3 points and 1 rebound in 8.9 minutes over 84 appearances. This year, he’s putting up a career-high 11.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 23.2 minutes per game. Beasley has also appeared in 76 games with 18 starts, becoming a key piece off of Denver’s bench.

The Georgia native’s shooting has finally caught up with his athleticism and he’s thriving. It’s like the games beginning to slow down for him. Beasley has thrown down some monster dunks this season but he might’ve made the most exciting play of his career so far on Wednesday against the San Antonio Spurs. The 6-foot-5 guard caught a pass at the top of the arc, drove the lane, and put 6-foot-10 forward Drew Eubanks on a poster. Literally, he’ll be signing pictures of this dunk in a few weeks, if not nights.
