‘Noles by the Numbers: Week Three

Florida State is heading into a must-win matchup with Louisville after a slow start to the season. The Seminoles are just 1-2 following a heartbreaking loss in Charlottesville last Saturday. The defense played well enough to win until the fourth quarter, allowing 21 points in the final frame while the offense simply couldn’t get it done when the game was on the line.

FSU’s James Blackman uncharacteristically missed some easy throws, including a deep shot to Tamorrion Terry that would’ve tied it in the final minutes. On defense, the same mistakes plagued Harlon Barnett’s unit. Poor pass coverage (outside of two interceptions) and dumb penalties that extended Virginia drives. The ‘Noles are tied for No. 116 in the country with 8.67 penalties per game.

Let’s take a look at where Florida State sits in the numbers both team-wise and individually after week three.
