‘Noles opener to take place in primetime

Florida State will kick off their 2019 season against Boise State under the lights of TIAA Bank Field. The university announced Thursday morning that the game will kick off at 7:00 pm (ESPN) at night on August 31st of this year.

It will be the fourth consecutive season where the Tribe will open against a big name opponent in primetime.

The Seminoles defeated Ole Miss in Orlando to kick off the 2016 season. Florida State dropped their last two season openers to Alabama in Atalanta and last year to Virginia Tech at home.

The game will be the first opportunity for fans to see Kendal Briles’ new, high-powered offense in action.

This will be considered one of Florida State’s seven home games of the 2019 slate.

Following the opener, the Seminoles will host ULM at Doak Campbell Stadium at 5:00 pm on September 7th before heading to Virginia for 7:30 pm kick on the 14th.
