Season total: 2-3 (40%)

We opened the season hitting on two of our five picks last week and have another very limited slate of games heading into this week. That will all change in the near future once the SEC and Big 10 kick things off over the next month or so but for now, we are stuck with the games being played so let’s jump right into week two and try to make some money!

Boston College at Duke (-4.5)

A lot of this will hinge on how Duke rebounds from a tough loss a week ago in South Bend. The Blue Devils not only covered but flirted with an outright win for a bit against Notre Dame. I think they are good for a 7+ point win over BC this weekend.

USF at Notre Dame (-26)

Playing off of my last pick, I think Notre Dame comes out more focused this week looking to take care of business early. New USF coach Jeff Scott is a great football mind but he takes some lumps early on and it starts in South Bend.

UCF (-7.5) at Georgia Tech

I have a feeling this game will be a tough one for Florida State fans to stomach as UCF handles GT fairly easily this weekend. I would like the Knights up to 9.5 points here as I see Jeff Sims and Georgia Tech laying an egg coming off of an emotional win in Tallahassee last weekend.

Miami at Louisville (over 59.5)

I flirted with taking Louisville at -2.5 in this one as I think they win in a shootout but to me, the play here is the over. Miami has a good defensive front but they will be traveling to Kentucky with just three scholarship cornerbacks. I think the combination of D’Eriq King’s legs with Louisville’s speed on the outside means a lot of touchdowns on both sides in this one.
