Sharp Seven: Week 6

Last week: 5-2 (71%)

Season total: 16-9 (64%)

If you’ve been following my picks this season, you’ve been cleaning up. Especially the past two weeks going 9-3 ATS. I’m not sure how long this heater will last but there’s no better time to jump on board than right now so let’s get into this week’s slate of game.

Pitt (+10.5) at Miami

We’ve seen this story before. Miami gets off to a hot start, they think they’re “back”, play a formidable opponent only to get blown out and the wheels come off the rest of the way. Miami may win this game but I like Pitt’s front seven to pressure D’Eriq King who will be forced to make throws he isn’t comfortable doing. Add the fact that Manny Diaz lost multiple games outright as a double-digit favorite last year, this one looks like easy money right now.

Liberty at Syracuse (+3.5)

Liberty remains one of the only undefeated teams in the country heading into the week. That changes following this weekend. Definitely take the points here but also consider sprinkling some on the money line.

Louisville at Notre Dame (-16.5)

I think the Cardinals have enough firepower to put some points on the board but their defense is beyond problematic. Notre Dame wins and covers easily in this one.

Duke (+4.5) at NC State

This is more of a gut feeling than anything. The public seems to like the Wolf Pack here but with how wild the ACC has been and will continue to be, I’m taking Duke to cover the points.

Georgia (+5.5) at Alabama

Nick Saban has never lost to a former assistant of his during his entire coaching career. That changes this weekend. I like Georgia’s defense enough to take the points but I actually have the Bulldogs winning this one outright.

North Carolina (-12.5) at Florida State.

Early this week, I was leaning on UNC winning but FSU covering the spread. Wednesday afternoon Florida State announced that they would be without the services of Tamorrion Terry for at least the next few weeks. I think that’s at least a seven point hit to Florida State this week in a game where the ‘Noles are going to have to try and outscore the Tar Heels. Same Howell comes into Doak and walks out with a relatively easy win.

I also had LSU covering the 14 points that UF was giving them to round out this week’s Sharp Seven but that game has been postponed to December 12th due to a COVID-19 outbreak within the Florida Gators football program.
