Source: Four potential postseason landing spots for Florida State

Florida State won’t officially know its bowl game destination until this weekend but a source within the program has given us the four most likely landing spots.

According to our source, four bowl games have directly reached out to the university within the past week asking about what kind of ticket allotment the school would anticipate.

Those four bowls would be the Quick Lane Bowl in Detroit, Michigan, the Independence Bowl in Shreveport, Louisiana, the Military Bowl in Annapolis, Maryland and the Pinstripe Bowl in New York, New York.

Of those four bowl games, our source believes the Quick Lane Bowl is currently the most likely landing spot for the Seminoles where they would meet an opponent from the Big Ten. Earlier in November, a popular projection was FSU vs Michigan State in Detroit.

A historically bad final weekend of the regular season by the ACC has really jumbled the conferences’ bowl projections for now. Things seemed much clearer heading into the final week but that was before Louisville, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Pitt, and Miami all lost games they were expected to win.

At least one outlet recently reported that the Gator Bowl in Jacksonville was in play but that seems extremely unlikely following FSU’s loss in Gainesville.

The Tribe will get official word of their bowl destination this Sunday during ESPN’s Bowl Selection Show. Assuming this information leaks before the official announcement, NoleGameday will be one of the first to hear about it so be sure to check back to see where Florida State goes bowling this year.
