Three Noles Named USA Today All-Americans

USA Today Sports released their College Football All-American teams on Wednesday morning.  Three Florida State players earned second team honors: Jalen Ramsey, Roderick Johnson, and Roberto Aguayo.

After moving to corner for the first time in his collegiate career this year, Jalen Ramsey reaffirmed his position as one of the best players in the country.  Ramsey finished the regular season with 43 tackles, 9 passes broken up, and a sack.  Jalen Ramsey will likely declare for the draft and play his final game in a Florida State uniform against Houston in the Peach Bowl.

Sophomore offensive tackle Roderick Johnson anchored Florida State’s offensive line.  Only in his second year of the program, Johnson led the young Seminole offensive line to great improvement throughout the season.  He and Kareem Are opened up holes to help Dalvin Cook gash defenses all year.  Johnson will be back next year protecting whomever FSU trots out at quarterback.

Former Lou Groza award winner, Roberto Aguayo, had a nice ending to his 2015 campaign and likely his career at Florida State: he made all three of his field goal attempts against rival Florida, including a 51-yard kick.  Aguayo finished his junior season making 20 of 24 field goals and all 46 of his extra points.  In his three years at Florid State, Aguayo made every single extra point attempt and never missed a field goal inside of 40 yards.
