WATCH: Marvin Wilson shows off his offseason gains

Florida State star defensive tackle Marvin Wilson elected to return to Tallahassee for his senior season instead of declaring for the 2020 NFL Draft. While Wilson has been vocal about his goal to lead the Seminoles to success in his final year in garnet and gold, he could also improve his draft stock.

The Texas native enters the 2020 season as arguably the top defensive tackle in college football. He’s listed as the No. 5 prospect in the 2021 NFL Draft by The Draft Network and a recent mock draft by DraftWire had Wilson going No. 9 to the Detroit Lions.

Though the 6-foot-5, 305-pound defensive lineman has lost weight over the offseason, he’s increased his muscle mass under the guidance of new Strength and Conditioning Coordinator Josh Storms. Wilson posted a short video clip to his Instagram Story over the weekend and the progress is evident. Somehow, his massive frame is even bigger, especially in the shoulders, and he looks to be carrying little to no bad weight.

Big Marv is setting himself up for a big year after 44 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, and 5 sacks in just nine games a season ago. The ACC is on notice.
